Reading: The French Lieutenant's Woman

So . . . I might've just lost all the stuff on my hard-drive.
All my WIPs, split silver files, the split silver script, some other writing
ideas I was working on.
Yeah. All of it. About 3,000 files.
I'm just hoping they're invisible, because I definitely didn't delete them
and they're not in my recycling bin.

Just . . . like . . . I don't even know what to say. I'm not even sure if I'm
upset because I'm so just like: this can't happen.

Hopefully I can recover them.
I don't . . . even know. This fucking sucks.

Oh good Jesus... what happened? Was it just a random happenstance? Like you plugged in your harddrive and your files were gone?

I installed a game onto it because it was glitching when on my original hard drive and then all the files disappeared. =/
My mom said it might be an indexing problem . . . so I'm hoping that's it and the files aren't actually lost but just hidden.

I'm hoping too! :c Do you know how much space was on it before you put the game on? That might be an indicator.

The guys say that they can probably recover it, but they're taking awhile. =/

Yeah I've had harddrives, motherboards... well, every part of my computer die at least once. Even the fan. Which was always my joke "EVERY PART OF MY COMPUTER HAS DIED EXCEPT THE FAN" until it died last summer and I couldn't fix the computer. D: whoops.
