I'm in such a fucking weird mood. I feel like I'm drunk,
but I'm not. Maybe I got high off something and didn't
realize it.

Anyways. WTF is up with some of these DDs? Some of them
are either shit or they've already gotten over a thousand
favorites by the time they've been posted. That's totally
not cool. I'm sick of art that's already popular getting
attention. There are plenty of amazing artists that
deserve them that you don't have to stoop to a piece
that's already gotten its share of attention.
And I don't think my art's anything super special, but
seeing crappy pieces getting featured pisses me off when
I have stuff that I know is better. =/ And I have many
friends who have art that's far superior, as well.

And it seems I'm getting a lot more pageviews recently,
so you guys who are looking at my work are amazing. =D

Man, I have to agree with you on the DDs... I had a bunch of them open in tabs.. I wondered if maybe I'd been looking at the "newest" section instead...

I wasn't impressed.

xDDD I totally agree. I'll look at them in the bottom sometimes and come across one that's like: WTF.
Some of them are REEEEEEALLY bad. And then people comment on them and are like: WTF why does this have a DD? And people respond with this stupid FAQ about how you shouldn't hurt the artist's feelings. Honestly? If it's bad, it doesn't deserve a DD and they usually get praised by someone for it, anyways, so what does it matter?

I was going through some one day and it was seriously a WTF?! moment. Some pieces look like complete amateur experiments. D:

No, for real, though. I remember they used to be amazing, but I feel like the gallery directors are just picking random crap, now. Jesus. I look at the galleries at random times of day and I see twenty things that were a better choice.

hmmm i don't even LOOK at the DD's on here. I've had enough bullshit from Sheezyart.

At least these only stay for one day, instead of like 2 weeks, lol.

Yeah. The DDs have been bad for months and months. And there was this one instant where this one piece by an already popular artist (one of the 1 million+ pageviews kinds) won a contest, giving it substantially more views, and THEN it was given a DD. I mean, it was a great piece, very awesome, and I definitely think it deserved to win the contest, but it was like, enough is enough? If 80% of deviantART saw it by the time the contest finished, "Oh, let's make sure the other 20% see it!"

I dunno. :| I don't look at the DDs anymore because of the annoying tag presentation they put it in. I just always keep it hidden.

And yeah, a lot of them are absolute crap. 8|
