In the moments when all is best
He is a quiet whisper in her breast
A silent flutter that shades her eyes
And in this silence he is kind

Then we twist the volume
See how loud until she is ruin
See her death from beyond a shore
A flittering, agonized metaphor

This is the way to kill a girl
Turn up the volume and ignore
Pretend that all her screams
Are nothing but flapping in the breeze

When she learns that silence is best
Then we will hold her to our breasts
Having pressed her until she is mute
For that’s what they did to us.
Should we treat her any less?

Apparently all my writing about myself isn't positive enough. =/ But I don't get how I'm supposed to be happy in my writing if I don't know what that means . . . ?

It's kind of weird?
Like, every once in awhile my writing tutorial gets a couple, but I rarely get any on my other works and all of a sudden . . . ?
Oh well, not complaining. Just confused. It's like that Ryan picture in my gallery getting 5,000 views or whatever it has.

I used to have a shitload of poetry up, and people started flaming me for it... this was back in like 7th grade, my gallery was mostly poetry. I took it all down and didn't put another piece of writing up until a bit into eighth grade year.

I guess it was because my poetry back then was kind of personal, so all my immature little friends, the second they got in a fight with me, would start flaming the fuck outta me. Well, now I write stories and poetry, and stories -in- poetry, and nothing personal.

Bah.

Don't let that stop you, now. I mean, I've avoided poetry for years and now I've gotten great responses from a number of people. You shouldn't hide it anymore. <3 I think you have a gift with images, so I'm sure your poetry isn't anywhere near the low calibur you seem to hold it at.

I do post up poetry whenever I get the inspiration to write it, but it's just not as common as it used to be. Neither is my inspiration for stories. It's kind of shitty.
