=B God. The forest city is so overdone. I was redrawing the part of the concept that I had and was like: Ugh. It's not innovative enough. (Probably because I thought up the original idea when I was nine.)
So I added Gothic cathedrals. Which are amazing.
Anyways. So, Fau is a forest city, suspended over a rainforest. The planet and landmass are small, so the city stretches over what it can, not really venturing over the water, though attempts are being made to erect buildings over the ocean so that more population can be added. The city is supported by trees and by levitators (which I didn't draw) that provide a constant underlying buzz to the forest sounds. Fau is also built into mountain sides. Fau is a major city, but there are others below the earth (Rhona and Reuel, which are sister cities that have been split apart to be better managed) that are constantly warring against it. These cities HAVE started building in the ocean, and their population is far larger than Fau's. However, Fau has the advantage of height and near inaccessibility. The Rhonians and Reuelians have to be sneaky, as the Fau can shoot and kill them far more effectively than the other way around. If a section is invaded, the Fau are capable of cutting off transport to that area so that the invaders are isolated, and easily picked off from afar by the powerful guns the Fau have created.
There's one more city I have to draw, but I'm not entirely sure what I want to do with it, yet.
This makes me want to play some video games. ;o;

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
